I Love You Berry Much one of new, spring drinks on the menu at Toki Underground
At Toki Underground, I Love You Berry Much is just one of the drinks launched as part of the spring cocktail lineup. The popular ramen shop is ringing in the season with a variety of drinks meant to revive the senses and make the most of floral themes. Bar Manager Courtney Taylor is unveiling flavorful libations with conviction and effervescence. In addition to I Love You Berry Much, there is the April Showers Bring Spring Flowers cocktail, Rye-ght on Time drink and Spring Awakening.
Toki Underground, which is located in the H Street Corridor in Washington, D.C., opened to acclaimed reviews in 2011 and long lines.
The spring cocktails at Toki Underground join the ramen shop’s classic Toki Monster. Guests will want to dive into the libations, particularly the Spring Awakening, which includes Plantation Rum, Civic Vodka, golden falernum, butterfly pea syrup, pineapple, and lime. The chameleon mixture is a two-part cocktail that changes color as the bartender adds the fruit. The drink April Showers Bring Spring Flowers is a combination of Haku Vodka, lavender water, calpico, and lime.
The drink to fall in love with—I Love You Berry Much—is a mixture of Roku Gin, raspberry tonic, framboise, and Ginkoubai plum liqueur. The Rye-ght On Time cocktail combines District Made Rye, muddled basil, lemon, simple syrup, basil oil. For those looking for the time-honored classic, the Toki Monster fits the bill: Bulleit Bourbon, Ardbeg Scotch, Barenjager, Angostura Bitters, finished with pork belly and kushiyako garnish.
Head to Toki Underground to try the spring cocktails and indulge in its much-heralded ramen.
