Spin DC hosts Spinbledon tournament, White Party in July

Spinbledon Community Tournament kicks off week’s events

Spin DC is laying out the grass for the Spinbledon events in Washington, D.C. in July – – well, actually, AstroTurf. It’s a nod to the prestigious Wimbledon Tennis Tournament in England being held the same month. Spin parlors across the country are hosting ping pong events the week of July 8. Players and spectators of all shapes and sizes will be decked in all white and bringing their best ping pong game.

On Monday, July 8, the Spin DC Spinbledon Community Tournament will be held at its underground location beneath the National Press Building. The event starts at 7 p.m. Guests wearing white will enjoy special happy hour pricing on select drinks. Purchase tickets or RSVP for admission to Spin DC’s Spinbledon tournament here

At the end of the week, Spin DC will be hosting its a Spinbledon White Party. The Saturday, July 12 fete will begin at 9 p.m. Ping pong balls will be flying all night, and fresh refreshments and themed cocktails will be flowing.

Take, for example, the Spinbledon Cup Pimms. It features vodka, Sprite, mint & fresh fruit and is priced at $8. Another Spinbledon potion is the Smash Prosecco, a medley of vodka, peach syrup, lemon juice and mint for $8. The festivities end at midnight, when it’s time to bounce. Admission is free, but the Spinbledon organizers highly recommend a RSVP here.

Spinbledon Kids Day, Spin DC kids menu

As weekend begins, so too, does the fun for kids. Spin DC is also hosting a Spinbledon Kids Day Saturday July 13, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Look for the free, instruction lessons that will be available, as well as face painting, and snack items available for purchase from the Spin DC kids menu, a menu designed for the “young players.”

On the Spin DC kids menu are these faves: Margherita pizzas, burger sliders & fries, and “hop pop” chicken nuggets. Additionally, Spin DC is offering kid-friendly, themed refreshments. The parlor offers free admission to Spinbledon Kids Day. Tickets can be reserved here.
