Chill, sample, sip during DC Cocktail Week 2019

30 bars + restaurants look to swizzle n’ chill all week long

DC Cocktail Week returns to the DMV on Monday, November 18. Over 30 Washington, D.C.-area bars and restaurants are hosting delightful pairings of bites and cocktails. DC Cocktail Week will offer guests fun tastes and sips all week long. Restaurants and bars the likes of City Winery, The Fainting Goat, Ghibellina, PIsco y Nazca, Royal and Tiger Fork offer specials during the week.

Anju, from the Fried Rice Collective—parent of Chiko—offers Mandu (dumplings) and a bowl of Pear and Sage Infused Makkoli for $11. If you like Tito’s Vodka, there’s a cocktail for that and more pear. Check out Silver, which features a pairing of Pear Blossom cocktail and Pickle Fried Chicken Sliders. The Pear Blossom is one to remember. It features Tito’s Vodka, Mathilde Pear, Falernum, honey, and lemon [rx]. This libation will be paired up with Pickled Fried Chicken Sliders, which are pickle-brined for 24 hours, then southern fried. They come with coleslaw, pickles and adobo mayo on a sesame roll. From 11 a.m. to close, enjoy the pairing at the bar for $16.

Asian-inspired cocktails are on the rise, and Doi Moi’s Kogi Buck just might be the ticket for a fun night. Its an asian take on the classic Mule. Prepared with DC’s own Civic Vodka and iichiko Shochu, Hibiscus, lime and ginger beer, this is cocktail that pairs well with spicy food, notes the restaurant. Gai Ngo Sen is the pairing dish—a Lotus Root salad with spicy dressing, which is topped with a cooked shrimp and served on a puffed rice cracker. Doi Moi is serving up the pairing for $18 from 5 p.m. until the kitchen closes.
