Chiko opens West Coast location November 14 in Encinitas, California

The owners of Chiko, a popular, Washington, D.C. Chinese-Korean eatery influenced by the creations of chef Danny Lee and support of co-owners Scott Drewno and also Drew Kim, from Matchbox pedigree, will open a West Coast location in the Greater San Diego Area, Calif. Mission Navy Yard in D.C. launches brunch

Mission Navy Yard, a Mexican restaurant and bar in Washington, D.C.’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood, recently launched brunch. Mission is a massive space that includes the city’s longest bar at 150 feet. The managing co-partners are Fritz Brogan and Reed Landy. Kevin Tien of Himitsu to open new Capitol Hill restaurant with Dim-Sum style

One of the biggest names in Washington, D.C. will be opening a new restaurant in Capitol Hill. Kevin Tien, executive chef and co-owner of Himitsu, a James Beard finalist chef and Food and Wine’s Best New Chef in 2018, will help open Emilie’s, a new restaurant with 3,313 square-feet of space at the Penn Eleven condominium building… Sam Shoja and partner Arris Noble, will help spearhead the venture. Rising star Sasha Felikson tapped for Julii, an upcoming French-Mediterranean concept at Pike and Rose

The French-Mediterranean concept from the founders of fast-casual CAVA and Cava Mezze should be opening by September at Pike and Rose. Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Dimitri Moshovitis—the same three innovators who founded the CAVA and Cava Mezze concepts—are launching Julii. Their new project, Julii, is a sit-down restaurant and the CAVA founders have hired Sasha Felikson of Doi Moi fame as executive chef.
